A Shot at Optimism
hi. i am soooo bored right now, as i sit in my moms office while she conducts a parent teacher conference. thank goodness that in this case, she is the teacher and they are not in there talking about me! i realized, as i sat there typing that last sentence there, that all i do on blogger, is mostly just complain. i really think that i need to do more than that, so here goes a shot at optimism.in drama we are doing our first group performance. we've had two personal performances before that, and those went pretty well. I'm really looking forward to working with the 4 people i was assigned this with, because, though i really haven't had a chance to really meet them past their names, they all seem to be really nice people, and so far have been just that! also, yesterday in Buddhism club, we made shirts and i really like mine, i think it came out pretty nicely. in fact, i am wearing it right now! hmmm... lets think... oh! i am very excited (and also a little scared) to go see the twilight movie, I'm scared though because I'm don't want to see how badly they've screwed up the movie, which you KNOW they have to some degree (oops, so much for optimism!). even watching the trailers i become increasingly wary of the movie... but i cant not go see it, that would be like... blasphemy! or something. also on the note of t-shirts, i made my twilight t-shirt the other day, along with my friend Beth's, and they came out pretty nicely! mine says "Team Jacob" across the front, with scratches through it, and on the back, "...and Jasper" with little tiny drops of blood dripping from the 'n' 'p' and 'r'. it looks pretty cool i think. well, that about all the optimism i can handle at this moment, especially with my grades crashing down around my ears (well, one "C" and a couple of low "B's" which i am desperately trying to get up, for fear of losing my texting and/or phone)
well, anyway that's all i got for now, so later!
(p.s. as all teenagers do, i love to receive comments on ANYTHING! so feel free to let 'em loose!)

I Dont Care... Or Do I?
My mom once told me that shes not sure if she ever really didn't care about something, as is the catch-phrase of us of the teen-hood "I dunno, I don't really care." and that just got me thinking, do i really not care when i say that i don't? I say it so often, I must not care about much if i really don't! But then i reflected and i thought, well, most of the time I really honestly just don't care, but I do care about a lot of things, and am passionate about them, its just the everyday things, they seem so insignificant... and its not that i don't care about the person, or their opinion, no i really do want to hear their opinions, i personally just don't have one to offer. and i think that that is because I'm the kind of person who tends to look at the bigger picture... i don't know... any thoughts?Labels: Caring, reflecting, thoughts

Scary Dream?
Alright, so before you begin into this tale of terror, i must inform you that it was actually very scary while i was sleeping. With that in mind, you may begin.I was at home alone, and it was raining. I suddenly heard a noise from the great beyond! Outside. I looked out my blinds and low and behold, a cow! Just a little calf, hitting its head against the side of my house! I felt so bad for the little cow i ran to my door and called it into my carport so that it wouldn't have to stand in the rain. The second it came into view in my carport, i immediately shut my door so that it couldn't come inside. Shortly it began to wander away, licking at the puddles of rain, laying on its side. I felt so bad that i called it back again, but very quickly shut my door because it almost got in. I locked the handle and it said to me "lock the bolt," so i locked my bolt in the door. The cow then proceeded to take out my moms keys and UNLOCK THE DOOR! It then entered my house and no matter how hard i tried, i couldn't get this stupid cow to leave, it was really scary. It gets a little foggy there...later, after many terrifying attempts to get it to leave, i ran across my... yard-like thing to my neighbor Suzie's house. I tried to tell her that there was a cow in my house, but she just kind of... did nothing. My mom came home later (the cow is out of my dream suddenly). I was then told that i had to kill Eleanor, and my mom said, OK, finish her off, and i said NO I'm not going to kill Eleanor! so Eleanor was then thrown over a cliff, when she began to fly, because she was a vulture (she didn't transform or anything, it was just like suddenly she was a vulture and it was a normal thing that she was) and then my mom said, well, she'll die of thirst. My sister/vulture then peed and drank it (the pee) and my dream ended with the realisation that she could get water from almost anywhere!
scary right? i should sell the movie rights. (jk)

High School Update
so, i know i was just on, but i just thought I'd commit this little section to my new life as a big shot high schooler!!so I'm in high school now and I'm learning how to type, in fact I'm typing right now! but lots been going on, Barak Obama recently won the president elect, which i am ecstatic about, seeing as the past 8 years of my life (the whole mindful part of it!) I've been living the world of republican bullshit (I'm sorry if that offends anyone, but really, my whole life, all I've seen is the damage this man [W.] has done to us and our country! and who knows, i might be just in time to see a democrat screw up, but it will really be a first for me![not that i watch politics that closely]) anyway, we are in one bad economic crisis since the great depression, and its scary, i know it doesn't affect me, but still... any way, as i said, I'm in high school now and I'm in freshman year. I'm in the pi (honors) house and it is making me feel so stupid! well just in conceptual physics, but i hate it! i am NOT used to feeling stupid... i applied for my first job a few weeks ago, i didn't get it, I'm assuming because I'm got no email or phone call or anything... but yeah, it was for an after school magazine project called 110(little degree sign) by Voices. you didn't have to be the legal age to work for some reason, but the whole thing was legit. it was for ages 14- 17? i am 14. anyway, i really love two of my three electives- yoga and drama- because i don know i just do! in drama we are all so close! i really love that, we're all pretty tight, not outside of drama, but still, its just really cool, every body's friends with everybody and its just great! i know i sound like a huge dork, but its really... different for me... yoga's is really cool too, just because i really like to stretch and move and in yoga that's all we do! but i wouldn't like PE cuz that's stupid, i don know why, it just is... but the only thing that sux about yoga is when we do partner yoga... its fun, but so extremely awkward. it like "hey i don't know you, but I'm going to lay under you while you press your head into my butt for head stand " (i recently mastered headstand and am feeling pretty fancy-pants about that) and vice versa...oh well... but i currently have 1... 'crush', his name is... unimportant, hes a guerrito, and hes smart and funny (in kind of a mean way, but it works for him), he doesn't have the greatest fashion sense, but again, it works for him... unfortunately, he is not taller than me, but what guy is! 5'8" is not a good height for a teenage girl in a time where the girls MUST be shorter than her guy, but it works out for my mom and dad that I'm so tall i guess... =..( but yeah, there's my filler-inner on high school... exciting right? lol at 11/12/2008 03:10:00 PM
TWILIGHT
Alright, so all those other blogs were for a writing camp which is why they were... well camp-ish. but this one is independently me! I am now going to scream to you (metaphorically, of course) the wonders of Stephenie Meyer's series Twilight consisting of four books: Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn. These books are the best books I've ever read, and I've read a lot of books. not only are they action, they are also romance and fantasy. And I'm not the only one to feel this way. Stop almost any teenage girl on the street and ask her if shes read the Twilight series and I almost guarantee she will stop and say yes and possibly freak out a little bit. the main idea behind the twilight books id that the main character, Bella, is in love with a vampire and gets in all kind of vampire-y trouble. i cant explain anymore, because I'm getting too worked up! but that's the main idea. any way, the movie is coming out on November 21st and i am so fricken excited! i already have my tickets! (if you haven't gotten this already, these books are huge! they are the teenage girl of Harry Potter and I'm absolutely sure that the movie will sell out on opening night and possibly one or two after that! I'm going to the midnight showing =)!!) anyway I'm almost afraid to go to the movie for fear that they screwed it up! I've seen all of the trailers and pictures, spending hours online looking for things like that, and they are just not getting Edward (the vampire lover) right! he is not nearly beautiful enough! and Jasper! well, Jasper's pretty good (Edward's brother) but jeez! and its all because they didn't do open casting, they did famous people only =( ... oh well, I'll survive; barley, but I'll do it because i will still have the books! anyway, the best are Eclipse and Breaking Dawn, but you CANNOT read them out of order, it would kill me! not if i read them out of order but if you, the reader, did! I'm good and dramatic like that. Anyway, if you have yet to read this magnificent series, GET ON IT! just saying... more later! at 11/12/2008 01:24:00 PM
